Guidelines for purchasing flights
You are free to depart from the airport of your choosing. The sailboat is located on the island of St. Thomas and you will need to book your flight to arrive into the St. Thomas International Airport (airport code: STT). Participants should plan on arriving to the airport on January 8th, ideally by 5:00 pm. If your only option is to fly in later in the evening that is still possible, you will just be missing dinner. We will be waiting for you with a sign at the airport and transport you the 5 minutes to the marina where the boat is located.
The group will be transported back to the airport the morning of January 14th, so flights can be purchased to depart anytime on the final day. If you have a departure in the afternoon you can explore St. Thomas for the day and then take a taxi the 5 minutes to the airport.
If you wish to extend their stay earlier or later than the sailing dates, that’s no problem at all. We will pre-arrange a meeting place at the start of the trip and assist with departures at the end of the trip. A lot of times you can find better airfare a day before or after. There are a few beachfront hotels right across the street from the airport which make it super convenient. Please let us know if you would like any help!
